Bio
Jessie Elizabeth is an Alternative Americana artist who uses emotive storytelling, gripping melodies, and raw vocals to connect with her audience. She draws inspiration from her love of the environment and from themes of self-discovery, escapism, and navigating societal pressures to write songs that instinctively merge elements of folk, rock, country, and alternative music. Some of her biggest influences include The Avett Brothers, Boygenius, Noah Kahan, Stevie Nicks, Hozier, Brandi Carlile, Maggie Rogers, and The Chicks.
Originally from the Buffalo, NY area and now based in Syracuse, Jessie has been establishing herself in the Central NY music scene and beyond since playing her first gig in the fall of 2022. She quickly began turning heads and forming a community around her music thanks to the combination of artistry and vulnerability she brings to her live performances. During her first full year as a performer, Jessie managed to secure several shows at Syracuse's beloved Funk 'N Waffles music venue, including an opening slot for the Nashville based indie-folk band The Arcadian Wild and a co-headlining slot with fellow up-and-coming Americana artist Nora Quinn. She also ventured further upstate to the Adirondacks (her favorite mountains) to play twice in Paul Smith's College Music Over the Marsh series.
In addition to booking shows, Jessie was busy releasing her debut indie-folk-rock single, Machine, in 2023. The song was featured on 95X radio's weeklong Locals Only Spotlight series, and she was invited to play Machine live on-air during the station's The Morning Mess show. In 2024, Jessie is working on recording her debut studio album at Subcat Music Studios as she continues expanding to bring her music to new venues across New York.
